Town’s U15 side is in action at Portman Road this evening in their annual friendly against Manchester United’s youngsters (KO 7.30pm), while the U18s are quickly back into the fray after yesterday’s 4-0 victory against Portsmouth when they take on Leicester City at Playford Road over Saturday lunchtime (KO noon).

Academy manager Sammy Morgan told the club site that it’s a big day for the U15 players: "It will be a great experience for the boys to play at Portman Road and not just our boys but those of United as well.

"They will not have played on a main pitch before and you can only learn from that experience.

"We're looking forward to it and I want to thank the people at Manchester United for agreeing to come down here again. The previous games have been a great success and I'm sure this one will be as well."

Tickets for tonight’s game cost £5 for adults and £1 for children and concessions with all proceeds going to the academy. Only the Britannia Stand will be open.
