Striker Connor Wickham is likely to win his 11th cap at U17 level this afternoon when England’s youngsters face France in their semi-final at the European U17 Championships in Liechtenstein (KO 3pm, highlights Eurosport UK, 9.45pm).

England won all their games in the group phase, defeating the Czech Republic, Greece and Turkey. Wickham was rested for the match against the Turks with the side already through to the semi-finals, but is likely to be recalled for today’s game.

So Eurosport show the group games live, then when it gets to the semi-finals they just show highlights 6 hours later, that explains why they are a small sports channel that nobody watches.

They are probably not showing it live because they have live coverage of the French Open all day, which i'm sure they paid a hell of a lot to get.

Yeah, he'll be full of confidence when he starts on the bench for Tottinham!

Unless Sunderland come in for a bid (watever the figure) and call in a few flavours.

He wont go to Tottenham,Sunderland or anyone for that matter,
He's still learning his trade firstly and what better club to do that then ours,
Next year is going to be a big one for the young man and when he scores those 20+ goals to see us into the Premier then he will shine for US against the likes of Spurs,Sunderland and co!!
He will be the Pull for Town to get the better players to the club, if we are seen selling our best players then that will put others off coming here to play and seeing it as not a club looking to go forward,
IF and thats a Big IF someone comes in and offers stupid money for him (i'm talking 8-10M) then obviously other people see his potential so why would we sell?
For the first time in seasons we don't actually have to sell to buy so i say keep him and build a team round him.

Didn't Walcott go for something like 12mill after a handfull of games? Don't see why we should accept anything less than that.

To right and Conner is a lot better player than him,
Ok he doesn't have the pace Theo has but alot more strength and knows where the goal is, Oh yeah he can actually pass in the right direction as well which helps so with that in mind he's got to be worth 15M+
But again i would say no sale.......KEEP OUR GOOD PLAYERS PLEASE,
Really don't care if someone offered 20M for him. (well maybe just a little bit)
