Priskin Wins Cap
Priskin Wins Cap
Saturday, 29th May 2010 22:43

Town striker Tamás Priskin came on as a 71st minute substitute as Hungary lost 3-0 at home to Germany in a friendly on Saturday evening. The 23-year-old was winning his 25th full cap.

Priskin, who earlier this week donated one million Hungarian forints to victims of central Europe’s floods, will hope to win another cap when his side face Holland in Amsterdam on June 5th.

Priskin comes on in the 71st minute, & the only thing he wins is a "cap!" Still nice touch that he donated, not all footballers would have done.

Well done Tamas! Look forward to seeing you next season banging in the goals for us, Then you can stick one finger up at the boo boys! keano clearly needs to give you more game time to get a partnership going.

I still think Priskin will have something to offer Town. He was poor last season - but if just a couple of those early chances he had went in it could have been a different story. I hope he scores a few in pre-season to increase his confidence.

priskin will show us all what he can do... just remember all of those on here who were salivating over him on youtube just before he came... there was a reason for that and that is the fact that he's a very good player who's capable of scoring goals and good goals at that.

I so hope priskin will come good, but cant see it happening.

What has he actually done?
Scored a goal or too, i would have high hopes if we saw glimses of magic.
But theres nothing there!
When i look at the teams that went up they all have good strikers that were all expectional at something.
E.g. Carroll in the air, or great hold up play and finishing by Bednar.

What is priskin actually good at!?

Well done Tamas, I can see him and Connor being a great pairing next year, just need to get the supply lines sorted.

It somewhat upsets & annoys me that many of our fans seem to be willing to accept mediocrity so readily, he seriously needs to up his game, any club can't be expected to wait over 12 months for a highly paid striker to decide he's goona start playing, ok all strikers have baron patches, but Priskins lack of passion on the pitch concerns me much more, he has looked un-interested at times & hasn't looked to impress the manger when he has come on.
I would love him to prove me wrong, but I just don't think he's good enough for us.

With reference to the above comment all I can say is - Is anyone able to impress ITFC's volatile ,fickle manager ? Priskin has ability and has not been given a fair chance - all players need to be ENCOURAGED to bring out the best in them which is the opposite of what our temporary ( hopefully ) manager does . He rants , drops players , puts them up for sale etc -hardly a great motivator . Tough talk which all he seems able to do ,is only one aspect of being a good manager !NB Keane !!

Some good meaningful, genuine comments above of which i totally agree with, fact is we still have the wrong manager at our football club, and he will not come good under him.
Not surprised he can donate at his age with the money hes draining out of our kitty, lets just hope we have a poor start and keane goes sooner than later, lets face it Me is only hanging onto him because sacking him now would cost way too much, but i bet you any money you like he wont let him buy anyone until he clears a few.thats why hes always going on about getting 4 or 5 in,which will mean 4 or 5 out, mark my words, the best result for any town fan this season will be keane sacked before xmas.
FACT.

''lets just hope we have a poor start''...muppet! How about a positive attitude such as ''lets just hope that we have a storming start''?
