Kennedy to Face Bury?
Kennedy to Face Bury?
Wednesday, 28th Jul 2010 13:48

Left-back Mark Kennedy is reported to have completed his £75,000 move to the Blues from Cardiff City, although there is as yet no confirmation from the club. The deal may well be officially announced this afternoon in time for the 34-year-old to play at Bury Town this evening (KO 7.45pm).

The fee for Kennedy was agreed with the Bluebirds late last week with the player, a former Ireland team-mate of Roy Keane’s, understood to have undergone a medical last night.

No how about we agree, no tackles and give each team time to pass and shoot. So nobody get injured and the teams can get use to passing and the teams get a practice at shooting. Which I'm sure we are going to need.

mickeyjb - Calm down son, you do know the difference between real life and Champ Manager don't you? Take a deep breathe, go outside and enjoy the summer. Don't keep checking to see if we've signed Raul every five minutes.

I must admitt,
I am the first person to back our manager to the hilt but 9 days to go and only one Senior Player coming in????? worries me a tad.
Don't understand why we didn't go for the likes of koren and such like,
I think our scouts have been a bit lazy and just sat infront of Sky TV and watched Masters Football, Thought 'they played well' and then made a offer,
well, What this space people, Craig Hignett was awsome for Bourgh Masters team the other day. Only a matter of time till where linked.

Come on Keano, Give us something to get excited about!!
I'm not asking for alot, just a Striker and a Right back that ain't going to be collecting his pension in a year or two.....

This is a step forward but until we get a real goalscorer I will not share the promotion excitement going around.
I read Jason Scotland is available for a season long loan. We should get him!

comeonthegoodtimes.

I work very closley with one of the said scouts at Portman Rd and I can assure you he does not sit and watch Sky TV as research.

The transfer of players is to a degree kept quiet and out of the public eye for many reasons, one being.... Buying clubs do not want an "auction" situation for a player they are interested in. The 1st clue of any transfer normally comes from the selling club trying to possibly "hike" up the price at the 11th hour. Some clubs agree a fee IF it is kept quiet. Unlike what Mr Bruce has done at Sunderland. Seems like he is trying to squeeze a bit more out of Fulop to fund the purchase of David James.

I have nothing against Mark Kennedy particularly but do people on here really think that a) this will help O'Connor's development (if Kennedy is first choice then it will harm O'Conner more than help) and b) that he's a better full-back than David Wright (who could play either side, let's not forget)?

I have no problem with letting decent players go if you get someone better in, but we're just not doing that.

No the same Jason Scotland that banged them in for swansea and then got brought by ex swansea manager at Wigian.
Jason Scottland is a good call. Or Jason Roberts, who is a free.

aha that jason scotland, lol, he is early thirties? possibly should be making his way back through the squad, he'd only have a season or 2 left in him before he retired, if we did get him i can't see it being more than a temporary patch on a increasing problem, with lisbie, maybe stead and maybe walters all going that only leaves us with 2 or 3 recognised strikers, WORRIED much???

Yes darkroonsitfc I am worried and have been on auto plilot and have just looked at my comments and they have been very angry and negative. But I've calmed down now. Its just ITFC just seem to be really annoying to support at the moment.
I take it Chopra is out new David Nuegent

well its frustraing times for town supporters and i presume keano aswell, because the club just isnt willing to do the deals with players that he wants, i have no doubt in my mind that keane would of preffered a seasoned pro jus about the other side of thirty, (27+) but is thereplayers that he has tried for that we haven't heard about?? would be nice to hear wat some the players are thinking about the upcoming season, would it not??
