Civelli Knock Not Serious
Civelli Knock Not Serious
Thursday, 29th Jul 2010 01:35

Boss Roy Keane says the knock midfielder Luciano Civelli suffered in Tuesday’s friendly at Leiston is nothing serious. The Argentinian limped off after only six minutes of Town’s 2-0 win against the Ridgeons League side having been on the end of a heavy challenge to the knee which suffered the multi-ligament injury from which the 23-year-old has just returned.

Keane said: “He’ll probably be out for 10 days or two weeks maximum. He’s just jarred it a little bit.

“I saw the tackle, you get hundreds of tackles like that in a game and he’s just landed a bit awkwardly, but he should be OK.

“When a player comes back from a long-term injury everyone tends to panic and get a bit worried, but it’s straightforward and he should be OK in a couple of weeks.”

Phew!
We seem to have a Mr Torres here though....hopefully when he actually plays he'll be as good as Mr Torres!

Our current injury list sadly means we will be playing with one hand tied behind our back for the first few weeks of the season.
If we can be in the top 12 by the start of November, I will be absolutely delighted, and then hopefully we will have a full squad to push on with

Don't expect too much all you miserable gits out there, and you may even be pleasantly surprised

Jabber you just don't get it. We're all Town fans and we're not miserable AND we do expect. Based on experience and like ME we are losing trust in RK. His complete lack of tactical awareness and a scouting network is b ggering us up.

However, we all want the same thing: Ipswich to have success or at least play well.

The lad's injury's not serious - great! but we need much more if the season's going to be a more pleasant experience than last year.

raedwald - just out of interest how do you know ME is losing trust with keane?

Callmeted, No, of course I don`t know. But look at the budget RK has received this year compared with last year and the players for sale. It suggests ME doesn't trust RK with his money - which if true does not augur well.
