Ablett Being Treated in Hospital
Ablett Being Treated in Hospital
Sunday, 1st Aug 2010 22:45

New Town coach Gary Ablett is being treated in hospital after being taken seriously ill early last week. The former Liverpool and Everton defender, who was missing from the bench at Bury on Wednesday and when the Blues faced West Ham at Portman Road on Saturday, is believed to have been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Ablett joined Roy Keane's staff at the start of pre-season training and recently agreed a one-year contract at Town.

Wish him the best of luck in his recovery of whatever he has. If it is cancer his family is in all of our prayers and I wish him all the luck in fighting it. A family member of mine has died of cancer but its not unbeatable and with his family and the club around him Im sure he can make a full recovery.

Get well soon sir

According to the Mirror he's been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Let's hope it's treatable. My oldest brother died last year from a very rapid and aggressive form of this.
