Keane: McParland Here For The Season
Tuesday, 21st Sep 2010 15:02

Boss Roy Keane has confirmed that coach Ian McParland will stay with the club until the end of the season. McParland, universally known as Charlie, left the club in the summer for personal reasons but returned after new coach Gary Ablett was taken ill.

Keane says that McParland, who has been on the bench since the opening day win at Middlesbrough, will remain with the club for the rest of the season while Ablett is treated for non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

“Charlie’s here and Gary’s still recovering and we’re getting on with it. Charlie will be here for the rest of the season," he said.

“The priority for Gary is to get well and we’re all supporting him in that. I speak to him regularly.”

well done McParland for stepping in, a true professional and clearly doing a good job! Also here is to a speedy recovery Gary, lets hope they caught it early enough and you will be on the bench this time next year! puts it all into perspective.
