New loan signing Sixto Peralta has revealed that he consulted Mauricio Taricco before making his decidion to join Town. The Argentinian also hopes the Blues will face Internazionale, the club loaning him to Town.

Peralta said: "I called Mauricio last week and he told me Ipswich was a very good club and a lovely town. He was very happy here. He told me it was a good place to play and live. I asked him about the team and he said Ipswich played good football and that I would enjoy it here and it would suit my style."

Of his Italian club the man nicknamed Mumo said: "I would love to play Internazionale in one of the later rounds. It would be good for me to play in the UEFA Cup against any of the big teams in the big stadia. For the moment I don't mind who we play, I'm just looking forward to playing in that is quickly being regarded as the best league in the world."

Peralta added that Argentinian TV often has converage of Premiership games. This is a far cry from when Taricco joined Town. Mauricio said that TV converage of the Premiership was rare at home with the Spanish and Italian leagues the only European ones which tended to get coverage.

The European draw is at 11am, we'll send out the name of Town's opponents as soon as we know them.

Finidi George says that there will be no cowboy hat celebrations from him in England. The Nigerian celebrated his first goal on Tuesday by planting a kiss on a woman in the crowd.

He explains about eshewing hats and favouring women-kissing: "I did that in Spain, but only because it was a tradition to do with bull-fighting. On Tuesday, I scored and a lady opened her arms in the crowd. So I fell into them and kissed her!"

He also says he expects to become known as Tractor George after his new song was aired on Tuesday night.
