Town manager George Burley says he doesn't know much about Torpedo Moscow and will have trouble watching them.

Burley said today: "They are a well-known club who have finished third and fourth in the last two seasons. They have got a young side with some good individuals. The problem will be getting them watched. They have a game tomorrow but then they don't play again until they play us. We have a scout in Poland, but he can't get a visa in time to watch them."

It is also suggested from Russia that Town may not get to play in the 88,000 capacity Luzhniki, but will get to play in the smaller Torpedo stadium which holds 16,500.

Torpedo fans have a bit of a reputation in their home land for causing trouble. Hopefully we will avoid any of their excesses.

Town have played in Moscow before, although not in European competition. As John Wark mentioned in his column earlier this week, the end of the 1989/90 season saw a trip to Moscow and Kiev as part of the deal to sign Sergei Baltacha.
