Tuesday, 18th Jan 2011 16:16

Town's reserves defeated Fulham 2-0 in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Playford Road this afternoon.

Striker Ronan Murray and defender Troy Brown were on the scoresheet for the Blues in the first half with Paul Jewell, his staff and many of the first team squad watching.

The second string game against Watford which was originally down to be played last Monday has been rearranged for Thursday 24th March. The Hornets play their reserve games at Boreham Wood FC's Meadow Park in Broughinge Road, Borehamwood.

Even the reserves and youth sides are winning again now Keanes gone. Of course it highly likely its coicednce but it could just be the whole club shining now the gloom and doom is lifted by the fans. Still a lot of hradwork required for the 1st team to start winning again though

Not sure we should be blaming Roy for reserve team results! Nevertheless, good to know these boys are trying to impress jewell.

thanks cooper4england thats really good to know! Jas... hmmm think you can blame Keane as they were all his rejects playing in the reserves or good players like Prisken who should never have been playing in the reserves..! think you will find moral throughout the entire club was at an all time low...

why do they play behind closed doors ? i heard it is because they play naked to save on laundry bills is this true ? then surely if we turn up naked we should be allowed in

Lets hope Jewell is as good as his word and we get a team with more flair and more attack minded. Would like to see Murray more and Civelli get games from the bench to start with, I know he hasn't played much for us but before his injury he looked the skillful exciting midfield player we have lacked under Keane.
I'm soooooo pleased Keane is gone....we're getting OUR Ipswich back!!
