Healy Missing for Cardiff Trip
Healy Missing for Cardiff Trip
Thursday, 3rd Mar 2011 15:06

Town will again be without midfielder Colin Healy when they travel to Cardiff for Saturday’s live Sky game (KO 5.20pm). The Blues have no new injuries ahead of the visit to Wales.

Boss Paul Jewell said: “Colin won’t be available for Saturday, he’s got a little tear in his stomach muscle which is taking a few more days to heal than we thought.

“Brian Murphy has been out for a while [with his broken ankle] and is doing light training with the goalkeeping-coach.”

Jewell says midfielder Alan Quinn is making progress having undergone knee surgery a month ago: “Quinny started training with us this morning but he hasn’t had a reserve game yet.”

I disagree, he's not that bad. I'd say Yes, give the lad a go.

Once again Pauliejaz you show us all what an articulate individual you are.

Agree Ipswich24, get him in.
If I recall he made his debut for us down there last season when we won 2-1. Had a good game too.

Fulop has been a liability of late. Poor distribution, silly ineffective punches and he does not talk to the defence. How many times do we get him AND a defender challenging for the same ball.
I think it was mentioned on here before (Phil maybe?) that PJ tried to sign Murph some time ago. If that is the case then Fulops days as number 1 are numbered.

Lee Barrett is as much use as a pork chop at a muslim butchers.

Fulop is a top keeper. If ever he does leave (I hope he stays) than it will be for a premier league team. Dont forget Morton is still a young keeper at 27 and has his best years just ahead of him.
Keeper is not an issue for us.

RB Greg Halford is from Colchester. He could be a possible transfer from Wolves. He is currently on loan to Pompy and could be available for £1-1.5mil.

Not looking forward to Sat, I thought that there were ominous signs in 2nd half on Sat that we are returning to the form under RK, just ran out of ideas and did'nt look like scoring from 60th min onwards, midfield has to do more, a lot more in my opinion.

Some people on here are really cruel and name calling does the individual nor this site any credit. You may think a player is not good enough but to abuse him is ridiculous. Having said that I would give Fulop one more go (despite my anger last weekend) and if fails then Lee-Barrett in for the Reading game. I am not a great Lee-Barrett fan but he rarley let us down last season whereas Fulop has, on countless occasions this season. As said previously Fulop overpriced and overrated.

During his run in the team, Lee-Barrett got gradually worse, i think he started really well, probably the adrenaline kicking in, the more games he had, the more he had to think about his own performances, the worse he got. He isnt the answer, Fulop has had some rocky moments and costs us, but probably not in the same was as Richard Wright did last season, stick with Fulop pls.

The Headline was about Healy missing for Cardiff game, in my opinion he has been just as much a revelation as Morris, since given a run in the team, and has been missed since his injury. As regards to Fulop, he needs to up his game, especially defending crosses...and demanding someone to cover Edwards...and perhaps stop so many goals coming from that area?

I don't remember lee-barret making ONE mistake, my opinion is you're all slating because of his age and position which is still effectively 3rd choice. I don't like Murphy at all really, too small - Watford away anyone? Fulop would have saved sordell's header. Keep fulop in, despite his mistakes we can all see he is a class keeper, what keeper doesn't make mistakes at some point? Plus to have a 6"5 keeper on the bench is a huge waste.

Headline suggests healy's done a runner.

Garv, Fulop a class keeper you're having a laugh. At 6foot 5 he should be able to command his area and deal with whatever is thrown at him considering his size, he's hopeless with anything above hung over his head, he either misses the ball completely or has a powder puff punch at it, he is also slow at getting down to shotsand his distribution is not good as was seen on Saturday.Iagree Murphy me be a little small but things seem to stick with him and he's more agile, hopefully he will be fully fit soon to challange for the first team spot. Also think that Healy has been missed more than most people realise.

i agree we have missed Healy a lot and who thought we woudl say that? i personally think its time to give Jamie Peters another go, poor lad one of our most consistant players yet manager after manager seem to drop him.

shame, he's been playing well recently!

Village blue - Man City could have gone for any other keeper?

How the he'll has this subject turned into a goal keeper forum! The headline is about Healy who consequently has been a revelation and I feel for him with his injury. I think he is worth another years contract!

Healy has been and will be missed. I like him a lot. But I also like Drury so hopefully he will really step up. Peters is the most unlucky player at the club

ALB for me, as he did really well last time he played, worth a go.
