McParland Joins Swindon
McParland Joins Swindon
Thursday, 3rd Mar 2011 16:39

Former Blues caretaker-manager Ian McParland has been named the assistant boss of Swindon Town. McParland, one of Roy Keane’s coaches, left the club during January’s managerial change around but not before masterminding the 1-0 Carling Cup semi-final first leg triumph over Arsenal.

McParland will be working under new Robins boss Paul Hart, who has taken over from Danny Wilson, who resigned on Wednesday.

You mention he masterminded the 1-0 win against Arsenal, but fail to discuss the 7-0 drubbing at the hands of Chelsea.

As everybody has already, and at the risk of being boring, good luck Charlie. May you play Arsenal every week and find success should you come up against Chelsea.
