Close to scoring in the 2nd half, starting would have given him a major lift. Well done Lad. Good interview on FA Website too.

That u21 goal will come eventually I'm sure. Fingers crossed you'll be a Town player when you get it.

Watched the first half didn't have a great game, still got a 17 year olds touch but can't blame him for that. Bit isolated up top as well which didn't help, supposedly 442 but the two wingers didn't seem to push up too much so more like 451.

Went to the game - Wickham was isolated and his arm must now be very tired sticking it up in the air to no avail. Nathan Delfouneso took his goal well, lovely ball through and Conor's run may have opened up space for the pass, but we may consider him signing for Burnley on loan good for us (unless he scores on Saturday!) as he did very little else. Far, far too greedy - and not the only one. Me thinks some of these individuals need to play as a team and not think its all about them.

Too many fancy dans doing too much on the ball England U21's. Too many trying to walk through to goal, many, many times they had the chance to cross, but tried too much fancy stuff. They were like a bunch of school kids not passing the ball. Okay, there were some decent passages of play, but looked shaky at the back, causing the second goal and nearly two more. One nil up - and you have a corner; was taken short, then found it's way back to the keeper. Very negative at times, Iceland broke quite well, creating chances and taking two good goals, one from a well executed set piece.

Wickham looked very frustrated, played the 90 mins, but didn't really get any decent service. Did one or two nice things, had a decent shot saved and won a few headers, but no final ball into him made his runs and game off the ball almost redundant.

Cleverly and Sinclair looked good off the bench and Loach made a couple of very good saves - got in position well / early and timed his coming off the line to perfection on more than one occasion.

In conclusion, another part of the learning curve for Conor - played up top as a loan striker with very little support / service. Needs to probably play in a front two or at least with an advanced attacking mid, but as I say - too many greedy step over mercahants looking fancy and in the shop window to allow Conor to thrive. Still - young boys, learning the game I suppose. Although should we being beaten by Iceland? First the banks and now this!

Slowerball :- Thanks for that report. Shame about the elusive goal but he's got plenty of time. I guess its all a learning curve, although, what would he have learned last night ? Lets just hope it doesn't teach him to be greedy.
