Jewell Confirms Edwards is Staying at Town Thursday, 31st Mar 2011 15:25
Blues boss Paul Jewell has confirmed that midfielder-turned-right-back Carlos Edwards has triggered a clause meaning he will spend another year with the Blues, as reported by TWTD in January.
Jewell confirmed that the appearance clause had been activated: “That happened after the Doncaster game. He automatically gets another year.”
The 32-year-old Trinidad and Tobago international joined Town from Sunderland for £1.35 million in August 2009.

Worth an extra year imo. However want to see him further up the pitch. Also give this sort of deal to Norris for his 3rd year.

thats good news imo, still really need a right back though as i prefer him as winger to a right back.

Decent player to have around and doesn't look like his fitness is going as he heads towards his mid 30's. Naturally athletic and will do a good job for 1 more year.

Good player and Im delighted he is staying. Provides great flexibility at RB, RM & Wing Forward. His flexibility will allow/help us to change easily enough from 4-4-2 to a 3-5-2 or 4-3-3 next season if required. Im assuming PJ will try start with his favoured 4-4-2 next season.

Who says lisbie or counago are in or out the door yet karlos? Lisbie can go but I think ill cry if I don't see Pablo in a town shirt again! Mistreated massively.

Edwards has been decent this season, but I want to see more from him next year, otherwise I reckon it will be his last.

Great player to have in your squad and I think he would come into his own in a promotion push! I would always fabcy him to come on and score a big goal

Good news. Hasn't let us down and has scored several impressive goals. Another year is about right - but think he will play mid-field next season / back up from the bench. Counago/Lisbie will I suspect leave the club. Lisbie will want to go - Counago is sadly past it - and I'm a Pablo fan. Doesn't score enough.

To be fair to him he's done ok, like others have said I think he could do a bit more, but i'm glad he's staying.

Good. I like Edwards. Has been played in an unfamiliar role & not really let the team down, but hopefully will see a much more attacking position in the side next season. As for Pablo, spent more time on his arse than his feet in a Town shirt, can go, so can Lisbie, neither are worth giving new contracts.
Karlosfandangal added 22:44 - Mar 31
Garv I will be worried if offer Counago a new contract and he is leading our attack next season. He has given us some great memories but i think he is pass his best now, would like to see Maynard and Sharp here
