Jewell and McCarthy at Southend
Jewell and McCarthy at Southend
Saturday, 16th Apr 2011 09:24

Town boss Paul Jewell and coach Sean McCarthy were at Roots Hall last night to watch Southend thrash their old side Bradford City 4-0. It’s not the first time members of the Blues’ staff have been spotted watching the Shrimpers, reserves coach Chris Kiwomya have watched their victory over Wycombe Wanderers in February.

On that occasion 18-year-old Kane Ferdinand, cousin of Rio and Anton, was said to be the reason for the visit and the Irish U19 international midfielder or defender, who recently signed a two-and-a-half-year pro deal at Roots Hall, scored one of last night’s goals. Ryan Hall netted twice and Barry Corr a penalty.

Chief scout Steve McCall was spotted watching Norwich’s 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest last night.

There is likely to be quite a big rebuilding exercise in the summer. Good to see PJ is scouting different areas/levels for useful additions...

The Norwich one would be spy mission for next Thursday, we would never buy a Norwich player as our fans would rip him to bit as they did Marshall

Lewis Mcgugan?? destroyed the Norwich defence at times and really pulls the strings! would be a good signing if we lost Chuck or if we dont get Bullard!!

Karlosfandangal :- With appologies, I think we ripped him apart because he wasn't very good.
