Released Town winger Reggie Lambe is on trial with Bristol Rovers, the club where he spent two months on loan at the end of the season. The Bermudian international was told he wouldn’t be offered new terms at Portman Road in May.

Lambe is out to impress new manager Paul Buckle, who has taken over at the Memorial Stadium in the wake of their relegation to League Two.

The 20-year-old, who made one start and six sub appearances during his loan spell with the Pirates last season, played the first half of a 5-1 friendly win at Mangotsfield United this evening.

Lambe made four Carling Cup starts and two Championship sub appearances during his time with the Blues.
