Elllington Back for Wolves Friendly
Elllington Back for Wolves Friendly
Friday, 29th Jul 2011 14:35

All seven new recruits are in Town’s squad for Saturday’s final pre-season friendly at home to Wolves (KO 3pm). Striker Nathan Ellington is over the minor shoulder injury which led to him missing the abandoned game at Colchester on Tuesday.

The former Wigan man will join Michael Chopra, Aaron Cresswell, Lee Bowyer, Ívar Ingimarsson, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and David Stockdale in making their first appearances for the Blues at Portman Road.

A strong Wolves squad, fresh from beating Celtic 2-0 on Wednesday, travelled from the Midlands yesterday.

Tickets are available on the day of the game at £15 for adults, £10 for concessions/students and £3 for under-16s.

Why not drop the price to £10 adults and free for children/concessions?

The ECB did it for the 5th day at Lords recently and it was packed.

Drop the price Cleggy, I would have driven out from NW3 for that.

Good to see all the new recruits are fit and raring to go.

Will be my first look at some of the new players, hoping it's a good game and a half-decent attendance.

If you was a true supporter hampstead_blue £5 would not of made a lot of difference. I believe you would not of gone to this game even if it was £1 !
I am not going but I am not quoting that if it was cheaper I would of gone. £5 difference and you would of gone, that would not of bought the petrol. Be realistic !

Good luck tomorow boys, I've got a BBQ to go to so I won't be going, but £15 is reasonable, seeing as the policing, energy and everything else to be paid for and ITFC is a business...

Hampstead, if £15 is a bit rich, give £10 to charity and then go and watch the plans land at Heathrow.

I agree - friendly prices need to be kept down, as do match-day ticket prices. But the suggestion coming from someone who lives in Swiss Cottage/Hampstead area in London is a bit rich!

Rip off prices for a friendly against poor Premiership opposition ! Season ticket holders and kids should have got in free or the gate will be smaller than that for the Open day !!!

Agree everyone would rather see a full-house. ST holders free and £10 for adults with accompanied U16s free would do it.

I thought Clegg said lessons would be learnt after the pricing of friendlies last summer? The price is still £15, and I think this is too expensive especially given that the Round 1 Carling Cup match, a competitive game, is the same price.

Still, at least there are lots of new faces tomorrow. This time last year we had signed only Connor Hourihane.

Ipswich should just let us all go for free. Then when they have no money to buy players or pay wages, we've another excuse for a good moan. Sheesh!

With Priskin and Scotland apparently looking better in training anyone else thinking that beef ellington maybe a waste of wages?

cooper4england, we have one thing in common, but I have to say its a bit early to be criticising players. For me Ellington will hopefully prove a shrewd move. Have to say I saw Priskin at Needham the other night, he looked ok, but he ain't setting the world alight for me.
