No Squad Number for Bullard
No Squad Number for Bullard
Tuesday, 2nd Aug 2011 16:27

Former Town loanee Jimmy Bullard has not been allocated a squad number by Hull City for the season ahead. The Blues 2010/11 Player of the Year appears certain to leave the KC Stadium this summer having recently been suspended by the Tigers for an alleged indiscretion during their pre-season trip to Slovenia.

The Blues were interested in re-signing the 32-year-old earlier in the close season but manager Paul Jewell ultimately decided the financial side of the deal was beyond the club.

Since then, Town have signed Lee Bowyer and are now targeting Blackburn’s Keith Andrews, so unless another central midfielder moves on, the Blues now appear unlikely to return for the ex-Peterborough, Fulham and Wigan man.

Hull are hardly bumping up his value, are they?! I await the Hull statement later in the week with interest, albeit ITFC's need for him is less than it was and we have moved on. Let Hull beg us to take him at the end of August. :-)

Jimmy was great for us and I would love to get him back, but I think Drury should be given the chance, he is not as good as Jimmy, but a similar player. I think he is one to watch out for the future.

Dose that help Tampa :)

Loan out Hyam for the season loan in Andrews and Bullard. That gives us Leadbitter, Bowyer, Andrew, Bullard and Durry to push for Midfield and wide positions. I think Durry is more of wide man.

I'm probably being a bit unrealistic with that but would love it! I think Leadbitter will really perform this season if he's captain. It worked with Norris last year.

I can't undertand the preoccupation with JB. He was good yes and we needed him BUT playing ability accepted I was still very disappointed with him on Soccer a.m. when he was asked did he get the player of the year beacuse the rest of the team was rubbish he said yes !". Joking or not its not the thing to say on the most watched TV show or to endear you to supporters. Hull are patently setting him up for dismissal but I dont see a reason why we should be clamering to get him back

For crying out loud Bullard!! if your intentions are too play first team football for the remainder of your career just come to an agreement to end your contract!!! Your harming your career, Hull FC's finances and your integrity!!

We want you here, you claim you want to be here, so just say enoughs enough and end your contract.

I'm not sure about Keith Andrews, i've been bored at work today so have been looking to see what the Blackburn Rovers fans say about him. Apparently he runs like a girl.

Jimmy wants the cash
He doesn't care whether he is playing or not

Which makes him a fool in my book

Dug out Dave - it's called banter! Its what soccer am is all about, it's what jimmy is all about, if we were that bad he wouldn't have been desperate to come back, and before anybody questions if he was desperate to come back, here is the stone hard fact, jimmy would take a pay cut to play for us, we would sign him, it's not upto jimmy or Ipswich, I'f jimmy wanted to sign for £100 a week Tommorow he couldn't, why? Because hull have him under contract, they will not simply allow him to leave knowing they have to pay up his contract! Peeps have been quick to point the finger at jimmy or clegg but it's hull at the end of it all.
