Town loan midfielder Keith Andrews has been named in the Republic of Ireland starting line-up for their Euro 2012 qualifier against Russia in Moscow on Tuesday (Sky Sports Two/HD2 3.55pm). The match will be played at the Luzhniki where the Blues beat Torpedo Moscow in the UEFA Cup in 2001.

Andrews will win his 22nd full cap and will be looking for his third senior international goal.

Ex-Town loanee Darren O’Dea, now with Leeds, has been called into the side, while Damien Delaney will hope to win his sixth cap if named among the subs.

Also still away with international squads ahead of games on Tuesday are David Stockdale, who will again be on the bench when England face Wales at Wembley, Carlos Edwards with Trinidad and Tobago, who take on Barbados in Bridgetown, Jaime Peters, whose Canadian side are up against Puerto Rico, Josh Carson who is now with the Northern Ireland senior squad which is facing Estonia in Tallin, and Tamás Priskin, whose Hungarians are in Moldova.

Republic of Ireland: Shay Given, Stephen Kelly, Richard Dunne, Darren O'Dea, Stephen Ward, Damien Duff, Glenn Whelan, Keith Andrews, Aidan McGeady, Robbie Keane, Kevin Doyle.

Come on lads! It will be a famous win if we can pull it off. The only good thing is that Arshavin is in such wretched form. It is hard to be optimistic, mind.

Thought Andrews was best player on pitch, last time out. Was unlucky not to score too. Played a Bullard style game.

I wouldnt go in so far as to say Andrews was "Bullard like" in his last game. Irelands style at the moment with to play the ball out wide to Duff/McGeady. Very little possession goes through the midfield. The two lads (Andrews & Whelan) have the job of sitting deep in midfield protecting the back 4. Its very tough to watch. We give possession to opposition and try to hit on counter. It should hopefully be more effective on Wednesday against the Rooskies (who are not in the best form). Their #1 GK, Akinfeev is out (I read somewhere).

Not a game for the neutrals I imagine!
