Town are reported to be one of a number of clubs interested in 18-year-old Scottish midfielder David Hopkirk. The former Hamilton Academical player is currently training with West Brom having already spent time with Rangers, while the Blues and Cardiff are said to be interested in taking him on trial and with Celtic, Bolton and Birmingham also linked.

Hopkirk came through the youth system at Hamilton, making his first team debut as a 17-year-old, but left by mutual consent last month having made four starts and five sub appearances, scoring one goal.

The 5ft 11in tall midfielder has been capped by Scotland’s U19s on two occasions.

lets not assume he is rubbish because he left my mutual consent. that could mean a number of things. he must be good if so many clubs are interested (better clubs than the one he was at.)

It would have been quicker listing the clubs who he isn't linked with.
