Peters Extends Bournemouth Loan
Monday, 24th Oct 2011 12:34

Town have extended Jaime Peters's loan at League One Bournemouth into a second month. The Canadian will be back close to home territory on Tuesday night when the Cherries take on Colchester at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Boss Paul Jewell is pleased to see the 24-year-old making regular appearances for Lee Bradbury's side: "Jaime is playing games and that's why he's gone to Bournemouth.

"He's happy to stay there and we're happy for him to stay."

Peters, who is contracted to Town until the summer of 2013, made six starts for the Cherries during his first month, playing wide in midfield, but is yet to open his goals account.

Jewell clearly doesn't rate him. Says there is not enough pace in our side, but happy to extend the pacy Peters loan for another month.

Best of luck to him. Jamie isn't good enough I am afraid. Shame.

@ muhrensleftfoot Pace is no good on its own, without end product. Peters' crossing has not been all that good in the past and he's not a prolific goalscorer.

I like Peters, a hard worker and fearless. Can't fault him for that. Could still do a job for Town if necessary. But not the answer to our current pace issues.

Best wishes to him at Bournemouth.
