Scout King Leaves Town
Scout King Leaves Town
Thursday, 1st Dec 2011 10:09

Recently appointed scout Andy King has left the Blues to become assistant manager to Aidy Boothroyd at Northampton Town. Boothroyd took over as boss at Sixfields yesterday, the previous incumbent Gary Johnson having left a fortnight ago.

King, who was only appointed to his role at Portman Road last month at the same time as former Bolton defender Mark Seagraves, previously worked alongside Boothroyd as his chief scout at Colchester United.

Elsewhere, former Blues loanee Jimmy Juan is on trial at Chesterfield, having previously spent time with St Johnstone, Macclesfield and Bury, his previous club Grenoble having gone bust.

What are the chances of getting shot of Clegg next, and then installing someone with a football background and a football brain?
Slim i reckon!

What ridiculous comments, although it's a rather short period of time at the club I very much doubt it's a clear out or anything like it. He's had what will probably be a more lucrative offer to go and work with some he has worked with in the past. Who wouldn't take it?

He got fed up with the smell of wee, when watching possible signings doing their activities in the care homes.

Not a massive loss i suppose but on the other hand, Jimmy Juan at Chesterfield, good heavens. He looked fantastic when here. I remember the free kick he stuck away against the scum, ingenious and now hes playing in these lowly levels. How his career has changed.

@ alfromcol - probably the most sensible comment we've had for a long time on this forum. Too right!

With 'supporters' like those who have so far been posting on here who wouldn't want to leave! What a load of negative attention seekers; it's like a competition to see who can slag off our team most. Man up and get some balls you lot and stop moaning, you couldn't do any better.

Vic-I'd give my right arm to manage this great club. Do better? Will never know but one thing I'd say. I respect and support any manager, however when it is clearly obvious the club is imploding. Do sit back and let fall or stand up and declare our outrage? Saying nice things won't change a thing. That guy that tore his ticket up at carrow road was right and his actions started the wind of change through out the club. Would you rather be in their shoes right now or ours?
