Marcus Keeping his Chin Up

Marcus Stewart has said he'll keep his chin-up after being dropped for Sunday's game with Fulham. Stewart was left out despite manager George Burley citing him as a key man just two days before the game. Burley has subsequently said it was a tactical change to have Alun Armstrong as the lone striker.

Stewart said: "I'm not going to get down about it. I'll keep my chin up and keep battling away. The manager said he wanted to have extra height up front and, with the system we started with, there was no place for me. Of course I was very disappointed, being dropped is not something any footballer likes. It's happened to me before but not often. There were two occasions at Huddersfield and I was left out once early last season here. We're all in it together and players being left out is a fact of life."
