George Burley has bemoaned the lack of time managers are being given to succeed in the wake of Stuart Gray's sacking by Southampton. Burley also suggested there could be more changes for tomorrow's match at the Friends Provident Stadium.

The Town boss said: "There is no doubt that when a new manager arrives everyone is trying to prove themselves. It is the start of a new era but we go there looking to put on a good performance and take three points. I'm sad for Stuart Gray as nine games is not long enough to prove yourself. Clubs need to be more realistic and give managers time and opportunity. When things are not going quite right you look to make changes. We have a good squad and it is important to give them all an opportunity".

Burley looks likely to give a recall for Marcus Stewart, left out at Fulham in what the manager described as a tactical move. Some fans have pointed to Stewart's comments in the Sun on Saturday (“This is not good enough. It is just crap and we know that. You can say that there is no game like the next one to sort it out — but we've been saying that all season. People are getting to know how to play us and it is a lot more difficult than last season. But we can't hide behind that excuse. Something has to be done — and quickly”) as another possible reason behind his omission at Craven Cottage.

Titus Bramble remains unavailable due to his achilles injury while all other first-teamers are fit.
