Seems the win last night brought a bit of welcome generosity from the club - hats off to them, although I expect there will be a few negative comments no doubt.

This is brilliant!

Last night was my six match attended this season and the first time I've seen us take 3 points!

Great entertainment and good banter with the Irons on the way home!

This sort of initiative may well encourage me to make the extra effort and fork out for the train fare to catch these games as well!

Really hope Jewell sticks with Hyam and Dury (with Stevenson to come in if needed) and we can terminate (by mutral consent) Bowyers and Leadbitters contracts!

Stick with Smith and Sonko if poss? Smith can still mature into a decent centre back and Sonko can aide that maturation! Delaney may do as back up!

New keeper (ALB good back up but not imposing enough!/Murphy terrible) and right back (sorry Carlos-good comedy player!) needed at some point!

No probs up front and squeeze Carson into the team and the future is brightish?

cheaper season tickets please. Else risk season ticket holders picking and choosing next season hoping for these "cheap" deals

Surely, the season ticket holders will get a reduction next season to compensate for them losing out on this season on the discounts being offered to the casual supporters.

If it means bigger gates I'm in! It made a change to see over 20k again last night, even if a lump of them were jellied eel munchers.

All well and good but there isn't really any reward for us season ticket holders.

Why to the Commodore supporters (once, twice, maybe three times a season) always reap the benefit?

Well done Clegg, pitty you cant do well in the transfer market.

Parkinshair, I can see what you're saying but there always seesm to be a contempt towards us more casual fans, some of you season ticket holders think that we're not worthy because we don't have a season ticket, well I work EVERY Saturday and my job often takes me out of the area so I often wouldn't be able to make the evening games as well and I simply cannot afford to buy a season ticket and not get to use it so I only get along when I get the time! Other people simply cannot afford a season ticket full stop. Regardless of whether they are able to go to games, so these sort of incentives to get the fans in are good, it boosts the crowd, atmosphere and brings money into the club.

Season tickets = About £20 a match. Every match

Match tickets = About £20 a match maybe once or twice a year. About £30 at all other times.

It doesn't take a genius to work out the mathematics on that one. So those season ticket holders who consider such offers a slap in the face, don't. Take this information on board and don't let me hear you whingeing again!

Rant over.

@buryblue77 & Strikes

Hear hear! Couldn't agree more with both of you. Yes I'd love a season ticket but being a truck driver I can't warrant missing so many games for the price of one but I do go whenever I get the chance and probably end up spending a lot more than a season ticket holder. Does that make me less of a fan by not having a season ticket? I don't think so. There's a lot of people that would never be able to afford to go to any games at all without these offers and the ones out of the paper. Season ticket holders you chose to buy a season ticket so live with it. You're still getting cheaper games over the course of the season. Although you could not bother getting one for next season and pay match by match then you'll welcome any sort of offer.

I think the issue is that these are "experimental prices" which will shape future pricing. If we went down to £20 a game matchdays all the time, season ticket holders would want a comparible drop in the price (likely, but never stated). As a ST holder, I would love a fuller ground, but not at the risk of losing ST holders.

shaunminx - If it wasn't for us season ticket holders funding the club you won't have cheap games to go to!!!!

When you make a reasonable point like that yes I agree and think if the match by match prices were to go down then season tickets should go down also. It's just the whinging that a lot of others are doing on here that gets on people's t*ts. You're getting a better deal than the rest for every game and rightly so just (not yourself I might add) stop crying when the rest of us get an offer.

@sereneblue

How do you justify that when I've stated in my post that I've probably spent a lot more than you've

buryblue77, my gripe wasn't at you or supporters in a similar situation to yourself. As you say not everbody can get down to PR on matchdays for any number of reasons so I don't begrudge them one bit. I just feel aggreived at those that only turn up to the big games or when the team are doing well getting some sort of pat on the back.

Strikes - £21.82 per match. Get it right LOL

For all those moaning season ticket holders, if you read the post, you are able to buy a cheap ticket too. Buy one for a friend (if you have any).

A great move by the club, credit where credit is due. I have been critical of Cleggy but this time he has gor it right and I applaud him.

Great move this and I am a season ticket holder and would rather this helps to fill the ground and create some atmosphere. I am sure season ticket holders will getbsome kind of reward next season but for me the choice to buy is not based upon the financial side anyway. I welcome all fans for as many matches as they can or want to attend!

As a season ticket holder im chuffed to bits the club are doing this offer . The reward for us is a bigger crowd which means a better atmosphre which hopefully means better results . I wonder how much it spurred the team on last night to walk out and see a bigger crowd ? To the tight arses moaning about it we are only talking a few quid over the few promotional games that this has been done . Your probably the same ones moaning about low crowds and s**t atmospheres each week . About time something was done to bring people back in to PR ........ COYB !!!!!

Better than the £10 offer where ST holders do get a raw deal.

How about letting ST holders into carling cup/FA cup first games if at home?, that would help to address offers to casual supporters throughout, season.
