Reading Linked With Bullard Move
Reading Linked With Bullard Move
Monday, 20th Feb 2012 23:20

Reading are being linked with a loan move for Town midfielder Jimmy Bullard. The Royals reportedly want to land the 33-year-old before their weekend game at Middlesbrough.

Bullard, who joined the Blues on a two-year deal after having his contract terminated by Hull last summer, hasn’t started a game since the 4-0 defeat at Burnley in November.

With Andy Drury and Luke Hyam currently in the team, skipper Grant Leadbitter waiting in the wings, Lee Bowyer fit after his groin injury and Ryan Stevenson signed from Hearts in January, Town may be open to loaning Bullard, who is believed to be the club’s highest earner on a reported £18,000-a-week.

Meanwhile, Reading boss Brian McDermott is also reported to be in talks with Wolves regarding the vacant manager's job at Molineux.

Did he take a £27,000 a week pay cut to be a money grabbing waste of space? Seems strange..

Next Jas will refer to Bullard's virus as an injury to go along with his injury prone record which in the last year has been clean bar maybe a week/two weeks. Troll.

Surely if Reading want to get promoted, they should be looking at re-uniting Jason Roberts with the Duke!
I'd be devastated but.....ok Reading you can have him!!!

What are Reading doing trying to sign all these past it hasbeens like Roberts and Bullard especially on loan deals as Jas often points out they never work or is Brian McDermott like Jewell and both know are lot more about football ability than the moaning half wits on here

Forget about Rhodes folks, move on. He wouldn't get in this team at present.

I really don't know what to think about Bullard...

On the one hand, I am concerned that he's here for one last payday and I am not sure we've seen anything like what he's capable of...

On the other, he does seem to have an inspirational turn about him and other players seem to be lifted by him...

If it was actually MY money, I imagine I'd think twice about hiring him, but since it's someone else's I guess it just becomes a bit easier to say, "why not?"

A tricky one...
