Crystal Palace manager Steve Bruce is reported to have been given the cash which will enable him to try to bring Richard Naylor to Selhurst Park.

It is claimed that Bruce will outlay £1.2 million on the Leeds-born striker who recently refused an extension to his contract. George Burley has said he will listen to offers, although late last week Naylor seemed more reluctant to move and may have started Sunday's game if he had been fit.

Burley has confirmed that no offer has come in for Naylor as yet. Wimbledon have also been linked.
