Town boss Paul Jewell has made one change to his line-up for tonight’s home game against Birmingham. Michael Chopra comes in for Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, who drops to a bench which doesn’t include a sub keeper.

Luke Hyam comes into the 16 with Cody Cropper not named in the squad, the first time Jewell has eschewed a sub keeper since he came to the club.

Birmingham make two changes from the side which drew 2-2 with Bristol City at the weekend, Morgaro Gomis and Wade Elliott coming in for the injured Jordon Mutch and Keith Fahey. Full match preview here.

Town: Lee-Barrett, Edwards, Smith, Delaney, Cresswell, Martin, Leadbitter, Drury, Murphy, Chopra, Scotland. Subs: Sonko, Hyam, Bowyer, Stevenson, Emmanuel-Thomas.

Birmingham: Doyle, Ramage, Davies, Caldwell, Murphy, Burke, Gomis, Elliott, Townsend, King, Zigic. Subs: Butland, Ibanez, Redmond, Huseklepp, Rooney.

Curious not to have a keeper on the bench - I would assume Cropper WAS available? Not that tonight's game makes any difference whatsoever but would like to know the reasoning behind that decision.

It's all right, I hear JET can play in goal.

Crazy chance to take. Cody on the bench Bowyer off would have been safer.

I asked PJ through this forum when questions were presented to him at the AGM whether he'd ever consider not using a sub keeper, he replied, 'after Kevin Pressman was sent of within 30 seconds of one game, it wasn't an option he'd ever think of utilising'....

I can only assume Cropper is injured too!?

Maybe Hyam can do a bit in goal.

Still whatever PJ does is always going to get clobbered by some on here!

If Cropper is not injured or ill then Jewell is saying that he has no future at the club.

floridayboy - yes, and MUCH derserved I'm afraid.

Some of you take the whole thing as a joke, which far too many of you are satisfied with - others tend to take it more seriously, and want MORE than just to see a ball kicked for their investment in the Club.
