Blues Again Linked With Robertson
Blues Again Linked With Robertson
Monday, 28th May 2012 15:59

Scottish reports are again linking Town with a move for out-of-contract Dundee United midfielder Scott Robertson. The Dundee Evening Telegraph claims the Blues are "well down the road to securing" the 27-year-old’s signature.

Capped twice by Scotland, Robertson, who was first mentioned in connection with Town earlier in the month, is expected to leave Tannadice this summer with League One MK Dons and Brentford having previously been linked.

Robertson started his career with his current club’s greatest rivals Dundee, making his senior bow while on loan with Peterhead in 2004.

In 2008, with his contract up, the 5ft 8in tall central midfielder, by now the skipper at Dens Park, moved across his home city to the Terrors.

Robertson, who scored seven times in 41 appearances last season, picked up a Scottish Cup winners’ medal in 2010 when he came on as a sub as his side beat Ross County 3-0.

Earlier this month the Blues were linked with a move for Robertson’s Dundee United team-mate Gavin Gunning.

Know absolutely nothing about this guy at all but as a central midfielder presumably a replacement for Leadbitter?

If he plays like he looks he's one mean mother!

I wish people could stop commenting on his look. Cant take your comments seriously when you behave that way!
If anyone has seen him play give us a summary

"with League One MK Dons and Brentford having previously been linked". Are these the kind of clubs we're competing with these days, for new players?!

Seen this guy play a few times and he's decent, but no more. He will keep us at mid table i think but isn't gonna take us to the next level. The player we SHOULD be looking at from dundee utd is their young winger, Gary McKay-Steven, he is going to be a player! Young, pacey and with a trick or two. Think the old firm want him though so doubt we'd stand a chance.

Have seen him play a couple of times and seems half decent. Also the right age to play for several seasons and thus ticks the building a team for the future box.

He is a box to box midfielder, an 6ft1, not 5'8, as is prob th case on your forum there are th usual ' supporters' who just don't take to certain players so don't believe all u read, and as for tractorboy sayin u should buy gms, he has signed a new contract an it would take at least 750k-1m to get him. Robbo breaks up opposition attacks an provides a link thru th middle too, hope this info helps

I am a DU fan and have watched him for 4 yrs. Was fantastic for 6 months before injury. Struggled for about a year after, but has been brilliant this year. Very hard working box to box midfielder who can score goals. Very consistant!!
