Tuesday, 29th May 2012 11:07

Town have confirmed pre-season friendlies against West Ham and Southend United. The Hammers will be at Portman Road on Saturday 4th August (KO 3pm), while the Blues travel to Roots Hall on Tuesday 31st July (KO 7.45pm).

Town beat the now-promoted Londoners home and away in the Championship this season, the home game ending 5-1, while a friendly between Town and the Shrimpers last summer finished 1-1.

The interesting point with the West Ham game will be the ticket price

Should really encourage kids - friendlies are an ideal chance to see if your little one is old enough to go to games. How about any accompanied kid gets in free?

Watch Simon Clegg rip the fans off with ticket prices again!

The mans a disgrace.

I bet ME has a little chuckle everytime he reads/hears comments like this. To my mind it's ME who drives all the controversial decisions like ticket prices, contract details etc and then he watches someone else take all the flack.

Simon Clegg - Marcus Evans' best decision yet

Have to be honest I couldn't be more underwhelmed if I tried. I used to look forward to the 'main' pre-season home fixture as it was a chance to see something a bit different, a club from the European mainland with sometimes a few stars in their line-up that we wouldn't usually get to see but now we just resort to playing a club we have only just been playing in the same division a few months before.

Hey folk just go along and enjoy the football. Relax for the next for the next couple of weeks. Maybe we will get a chance to see some of our new players? If we have any by then? COYB

It probably was a decision between playing West Ham's first team with plenty of away support or playing Lazio's B team or U-21 team with no away support. Anyone see the swaying factor?

Any chance of seeing that Lazio friendly this season? I know they'll send their youths and C sidefor some fresh Suffolk air but about time they paid up.
