N'Daw Joins Up With New Team-Mates
Thursday, 30th Aug 2012 06:00

Last week’s loan signing Guirane N’Daw is set to join up with his new team-mates at training for the first time today. The St Etienne midfielder returned to France after completing his season-long switch on Friday.

Speaking after Tuesday’s defeat at Carlisle, manager Paul Jewell said the paperwork relating to N’Daw’s international clearance had come through earlier in the day: “Clearance came through today, so he’ll be back with us training on Thursday.”

N’Daw, 28, could make his Blues debut in Saturday’s game against Huddersfield at Portman Road.

This is the most excited I've been about a Town signing for a couple of seasons...we've really been crying out for an experienced player with a bit of physical presence who enjoys doing the ugly stuff in front of the back four.

N'Daw is ok.... let's not go over the top. He is part of the plan / solution, but he won't turn things around single handed. He is a better player than Hyam though, far better.

Mickeyjb - I would assume this deal is with a view to a permanent move as it's the last year of his St Ettienne contact. Suck it and see basically. Makes a lot of sense to me. When i asked Phil on the forum he seemed to agree with that.

In for kirk broadfoot, would be a great defensive signing especially on a free, 6ft 3 aswell.

What a difference a week makes! Last week i was (I think most of you were too) very hopeful for the future and things were going in the right direction. Now a week later, 2 defeats and more failed signings and suddenly it's all doom and gloom!!!

Think N'Daw is a good signing on loan and will help protect our back 4, and who knows, maybe this time next week we'll all be a lot happier........'It's a funny old game Saint' (for those of you old enough to remember Saint and Greavsie on ITV!!!)

I'm guessing we have gone for the safe option that if he's cr@p then we don't have to rip up his contract at the end of the season, however if he is good how do we know he will sign for us at the end of it? Yes I'm sceptical, but can I not be at the moment
