Chopra Set for Scan
Thursday, 20th Sep 2012 10:42

Striker Michael Chopra has revealed that he will undergo a scan later today on the thigh injury he suffered during last night’s 2-0 defeat to Wolves.

Chopra tweeted: “Lots of ice and acupuncture today and a scan later. [Will] see what the outcome is.”

The Blues could go into Saturday’s home game against Charlton with their striking options limited with Paul Taylor also set for a scan today having left the ground on crutches last night due to the ankle knock which forced him off just after half-time.

I play football (at a very low level) and was always a midfielder, they have stuck this 34 year old slightly overweight chap up front (for some reason I couldn't work out at the time) and now I'm banging the goals in, a record better than a goal every other game, technically I'm a free agent, my wage demands aren't excessive and negotiations don't have to drag on and on.
Come get me Paul! LOL

Prehaps Jewell can bring in a couple of loans just for a change we might as well have a team of loanies

Cant see where he got that from as he certainly didnt run! Still maybe we'll see Scotty and Murphy up front.

Murphy is not a winger he is slow and slows the game right down. We need proper wide men could of got Ryan Hall and Paul Ritchie and play 4-4-2. Have watche Chopra closely in games and he does nothing. Unless you play the right system he is useless

Chopra must have fell over somewhere off the pitch .
Prehaps he was kicked by the hench men from gambling debts

Murphy was sooooooo shocking against Wolves, missed golden opportunities, couldn't pass, just sod off back to Celtic frankly. I'd also like to know where the hell Josh Carson was and has been for the past games and season. He has everything we lack at the moment, pace on the flanks and he's creative, young. Hyam has played well - so why is he sitting on the bench? Luongo and N'Daw were our best players last night, and they're both loanees! What's gonna happen when they leave I don't know! Better buck your ideas up Jewell!

God people, what do you see in Murphy? JET is better than him, plus he's OUR player. All Murphy is, is a lump that heads the ball to nobody. I see Jewell was just trying to make up the numbers with him.

I say play scotland and ELLINGTON up front with martin and jet on the wings, the reason i say ellington he hasnt had a chance to prove himself yet has he? he is strong provides height and to be honest if taylor and chops are out who else yes murray, but isnt he suspended for head butting somebody? also ellington is looking sharp in training and scores regulary for the researves, give him a chance and if he plays poor then fair enough.

No great problem, Scotland is a straight swap for Chopra who has performed better than Chops when he has come on as sub, and deserves at starting place anyway. Taylor will be the greater miss.

People keep knocking Murphy but he wins over 90% of challengers in the air, but no one is ever on the end of them. What the hell goes on in training, its not rocket science to work out the positioning of others to Murphy's flick ons.

If hes laid up the bookies will be busier than that clown Loach picking the ball out of his own net,not many charities will make much from him the way hes flapping about

Due to these injuries PJ will flukerly find a goal scoring partnership by accident rather than design.

Think people being a bit harsh on Chopra, he wasnt the one missing all the chances last night.

I actually think this might do us a favour as Scotland looked lively when he came on last night, in fact he's looked quite lively all season.

Who knows by having a few injuries this might work out for the best, god knows we need as much positivity as we can get!

Nurse! Daley's missed his happy pills again!

Fella - its only a game played by (lets face it) non-to-bright,vastly overpaid, young men. As much as we all care, just try and remember that the biggest loser in this sorry affair is tax-avoiding, man-with-no-face, Mr Evens....well until he calls in the debt

Drink more, or take less water with it, you know it makes sense

This week I'm recomending Hobgobblin to ease the pain....

I don't understand why everyone is dissapointed with Chopra. He has only ever scored 20 goals in one season in his whole career, SIX YEARS AGO. Oh yes, maybe announcing that we have signed one of the best strikers in the championship raised expectations somewhat but surely no genuine ITFC supporer would believe the Sh1te which comes out of this joke club would they?

This could be a good thing, i feel sorry for Chops because it looks like the players just rely on him to get every single goal we score which isn't fair on him. Its about time to pull your finger out your backsides boys and get up that pitch abd support him!

P.s am i the only one who thinks JET is wasted on the wing? He has so much potential to be a good striker. Similar physique to Darren Bent with one hell of a shot on him, plus he won't have to track back!

Two wins does not a season make, and two defeats does not a season break.

Scan might reveal his legs are currently pointing in the wrong direction
