Submit Questions for Trio at Supporters Club AGM
Tuesday, 23rd Oct 2012 10:32

Chief executive Simon Clegg, skipper Carlos Edwards and assistant manager Chris Hutchings are the guests at the Supporters Club's AGM on Wednesday evening in Legends (7.30pm, doors open 7pm). As in previous years the trio will answer fans’ questions from the floor, but if you’re unable to attend you can submit them in advance via TWTD.

All members of the Supporters Club are welcome to attend with evidence of membership required on the door. You are a Supporters Club member if you have a season ticket, are a Silver Card member, a Junior Blue or a member of one of the 32 affiliated branches.

Fans unable to attend the AGM in person can submit questions in advance and have them asked on the night either by posting them in the comments below or by emailing them to itsc78@btinternet.com before tonight's match.

The Supporters Club also plans roadshow-style regional events, one of which will be West Suffolk. As last year, these events — which are set to take place between January and March - will be widely advertised in print, on radio and online, including via TWTD, as well as in the Town programme. Amongst the other events already confirmed are:

-16th March 2013 - Annual Supporters Day with events around Ipswich, including a lunchtime question and answer session with Simon Clegg and first team squad players in an Ipswich venue, and a post-match event in Legends Bar following the home game against Bolton Wanderers.

-13th April 2013 - Legends in Legends - After last year's successful first event of this type, fans will get the chance to meet many of the players of the past, from the 1960s onwards. In Legends Bar from 5.15pm, following the home game against Hull City.

-27th April 2013 - Annual Player Awards Evening, including the first team squad and coaches plus other guests. In the evening after the last home game of the season against Birmingham City.

The diary of Supporters Club events will be kept up to date on the newly-launched Supporters Club website as and when they are confirmed.

For more information go to the website or contact Elizabeth Edwards via itsc78@btinternet.com or by phone on 07968 876504. Liz can also be found in Legends after every Saturday home game.

Can't see the point, clegg is never going to answer the question's of why is jewel still here when 98% of the fans and some of the team want him out, what plans has he got in place when supports stop going, and can we cancel our direct debts

1) Is there a long term plan at the club?

If there is, what is it (are we allowed to be privvy to it), how has it been displayed in the last 20 months, or even longer. How does the club explain the inconsistancies that there clear is with ANY insistance there might be a long term play- mass of loans (last season and this), lack of REAL time given to our younger own products, lack of contract action before they run out etc.

2) How, when it is clear thet Jewell will NEVER have his contract renewed (if the club had faith in him, wouldn't they have done that already?), can the club justify hanging on wasting time when a new manager will need as much time as possible to rectify the mess that Jewell (and Hutchings and the other, ahem, contributors) have created?

I second the question about the long-term plan.

Can someone ask how the Board is made up, what Directors are in place and what their individual roles are - including what football knowledge they bring to the club?

Also, why was money so tight in the summer that it seemed to prevent the signing of so many players we attempted to sign, yet suddenly we can afford a string of loan players?! I thought we didn't sign Henderson as his wages were too high, so instead we paid Loach's transfer fee and wages, now I presume we are paying Henderson on top!

i second the question about long term plan - we as loyal and paying supporters should be allowed knowledge of this, we are the fans of this club !!!

What are you going to do Mr Clegg to improve the teams performance, and what is the target final league position for the team at the end of the season 12/13.

Message to Phil Ham, I object to the language used by 'Suzanna Gekkaloys' and would ask that the post is removed from your website.

I have a a question for Mr Clegg:

Do you still think Jordan Rhodes is not up to championship level?

Marcus - 1) Have you actually got any money for the club?

2) Your robbing fans and locals of there hard earned cash from the price of match tickets to the community trust and development centres and getting were getting very little in return. Explain these prices please.

Clegg - Have you any understanding of the game, club or Fans? if not leave

PJ - were you initially given any promises of financial backing to get players in?
Feel sorry for you TBH working with these 2. How can anyone produce a decent which is full of freebies and loans. However after your comments on saturday, please leave. If you dont have belief in yourself how can others?

It is a bit pointless though, all these questions will be asked and all they will do is defend one another, it all comes down to winning football matches at the end of the day.

Why are we expected to put up with the nonsense football and tactics by Paul Jewell, last season was terrible and this year is far worse, were rooted to the foot of the table and nobody at the top seems to care. Also do you think that you as our chief exec have been doing a good job???????

Question for Mr Clegg:

Do you actually make any key football related decisions at ITFC or are you simply a mouthpiece / cardboard cut out figurehead for our media shy owner?
0

Seasider added 15:06 - Oct 23
Two of the main figures wont be there Paul Jewell and Marcus Evans, only Simon Clegg to sidestep any difficult questions because he wont have the answers as he is after all Evans mouthpiece.Would be interested to know why he didnt land Charlie Austin, dont think it was PJ's fault this one,and is The Major still involved with transfers as Managers remarks on subject only now refers to ME

righty added 15:10 - Oct 23
Why did Mr Clegg allow Austin to walk out of his office

On what basis is the manager doing a good enough job to keep receiving votes of confidence from the owner. What would the manager have to do to no longer receive that support, relegation ?

Did you seen TWTD before?

Question for Chris Hutchings:

For an experienced football man, do you believe leaving a squad with only 2 central defenders after letting Delaney go to one of our rivals is a wise move especially considering one of those 2 left travels half way round the world for international matches? If the answer is no then who actually made that decision? Evans? Clegg?

Phil I will be there tomorrow. Will they really answer all questions from the floor or will they just answer certain questions (non contentious) that have been sent in?

Blue_Dwarf added 15:28 - Oct 23
Question for Carlos Edwards:

How does it feel captaining players only interested in getting match fitness prior to returning to their parent clubs? Isn't that a kick in the teeth for the club's contracted professionals who are deemed surplus to requirements for such loan merceneries?

To Mr Clegg would you say you have been successful as chief executive

Question for Mr Clegg when are you leaving and taking Mr Jewell and his backroom staff with him

Does the cub have in place a mechanism to monitor the views of fans being expressed on social media and the Internet and if so are those views ever brought to the attention of the club's owner,CEO and Manager ?
