Higginbotham Loan Extension Confirmed Tuesday, 23rd Oct 2012 18:45 Town have confirmed that defender Danny Higginbotham's loan has been extended to three months. The 33-year-old's spell from Stoke was due to end after tonight's game against his former club Derby County. Chief executive Simon Clegg said: “We are delighted that we have managed to keep Danny with us until the end of December. “He has settled into the team and the club very easily and made it known that he would like to stay here when we started discussions about extending his loan. “He is very much committed to the cause here and I know he’s delighted that we have managed to reach an agreement with Stoke that keeps him in an Ipswich Town shirt for the rest of the year.” Yesterday, boss Paul Jewell said he hopes the deal will turn into a permanent switch in January: “I spoke with Danny last week and he’s keen that if we can get something sorted permanently to get it sorted out.”
