Orr and Martin in for Town at Leicester
Saturday, 17th Nov 2012 14:11

Bradley Orr makes his Town debut and Lee Martin returns to the side as Mick McCarthy makes two changes to his team for today’s game at Leicester.

Loanee Orr comes in at right-back with Tommy Smith dropping to the bench and Luke Chambers switching to centre-half.

Arran Lee-Barrett is on the bench in the absence of Scott Loach, who misses out with the thigh injury he sustained at Walsham. Luke Hyam’s reward for an impressive display against the Thurlow Nunn League side is a place amongst the subs, alongside summer signing Elliott Hewitt.

Martin is back after his one-match ban in place of Richie Wellens, who has returned to the Foxes at the end of his loan, but isn’t in Nigel Pearson’s 18.

Leicester are unchanged from their 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest last week. Full match preview here.

Town: Henderson, Orr, Chambers, Higginbotham, Cresswell, Edwards (c), N'Daw, Reo-Coker, Martin, Murphy, Campbell. Subs: Lee-Barrett, Hewitt, Smith, Hyam, Mohsni, Emmanuel-Thomas, Chopra

Leicester: Schmeichel, De Laet, Drinkwater, Morgan (c), Whitbread, King, Dyer, Waghorn, Schlupp, Knockaert, Nugent. Subs: Vardy, Marshall, Logan, James, Moore, Lingard, Futacs.

Makes sense putting Orr straight into the first team.
Leicester are a strong side. Morgan is on form and nugent is always a threat

Makes a change not to have a back 4 that picks itself, I was hoping nugent wouldn't start that means were a goal down already

Step up to the plate Lee. Strong on paper plus options on the bench. Surprising no Scotland.

Would,nt wish an injury on ANY player but Nugent might not make it for a full 90mins. The teams looking so much better now but think we will miss Wellens until January. Confident of getting something from this today.COYB

Lee Martin has to show he is worth giving a new contract to, he puts the effort in every game and does a lot of running, but does he actually do anything to show he has the quality at this level? Not that I have seen, but I would love him to prove me right and get an assist or goal today!

Agree that Orr should start but in place of chambers not smithy, chambers is the weak link in the back line!! And Martin should not play as he's done nothing this season and they played better without him! Coyb

People seem to forget Martin's assists for one in four of the goals scored.

Smith dropped to the bench? Thought he had a great game last week. But I guess he's 'tired' as a lot of players are these days. COYB, 3 points today!!

About time Martin proved himself and about time he scored a goal, glad that Orr is starting. So I take it Cresswell is playing this game in his usual right back position?

I wish Henderson would be sent back he is absolutely Sh*t ....4-0 now , unbelievable how we capitulate so easily ....its nothing to do with MM its the players they are awful and heads drop far too quickly ......i mean Leicester aren't that great we are just boys amongst men.
