Duo Signing New Town Book
Duo Signing New Town Book
Friday, 30th Nov 2012 06:19

Legendary Town reporters Dave Allard and Neal Manning are signing copies of their new book Ipswich Town Uncovered in Waterstone's in the Buttermarket from 11.30am on Saturday morning.

Ipswich Town Uncovered looks behind the glory and the cameras and, with only a few holds barred to protect the slightly less than innocent, the authors reveal the best of their Town stories from the last 50 years.

If you can’t make the signing, the book is available for £9.99 via TWTD’s Amazon link here with a Kindle version here for £5.14.

You can hear Dave and Neal speaking to ICRFM's Graham Blackburn and Steve Hawthorne about the book here.

Also available is Joe Broadfoot’s autobiography A Tale Of Two Football Towns & Millwall FC in paperback for £4.99 and for Kindle for £1.96. Winger Broadfoot played for the Blues between 1963 and 1965 and again from 1967 to 1968.

Broadfoot must be delighted with the efforts to come up with that title.

If the book is as good as this interview, it will be worth a read.

'Legendary'? Do me a bloody favour. Full of their own self importance, more like.

Both Dave Allard and Neal Manning are top blokes, they have blue and white blood running through them, and the book will be an absolute joy to read.

Dave Allard is a true echelon who displays standards evident. The reason “Blaggers” has no time for them is because he is a poor person who has never procured and spends his time complaining about how much money everything costs. I have actually met both these gents in person and only have positive things to say about them.

The Esteemed Canon is planning to purchase his copy at this weekend's book signing and advises all men of standards to do the same. I have every faith this will prove to be a splendid collection of anecdotes and it will ultimately become a consortium approved publication.

I have read the book and it is very good. Some amusing stories about the good days before the club became an embarrassment.
Both are good blokes as well and if anyone has stories to tell about Ipswich Town its those two!
