Town Reveal Agents' Fees
Friday, 30th Nov 2012 14:52

Town have announced that they made payments of £364,252.84 to licensed agents during the period October 1st 2011 to September 30th 2012.

An FA rule requires that payments made to licensed agents must be published on clubs’ websites before the end of November.

In August, the Football League's Agents' Fees Report showed that the Blues had spent £233,990 on agents’ fees in the year to June 30th 2012.

Why don't these parasites take their money from their clients, rather than the football clubs? There should be a written rule to this effect!

This seems like quite a small amount given the high amount of deals we've done, especially loans.

Is there a statement anywhere about the value that expenditure has added to the club? Though not...

Given the quality of player we have brought in I think that £364,252.84 is a lot of money.

I'm pretty sure that when Blackpool won promotion Olly refused to pay fees to agents andso it is possible to do well and not pay-out to agents.

On another note I don't understand why clubs pay agents anything at all. Surly its the play who benifits from having an agent in terms of negotiating better terms, signing-on fees etc.

But then agin maybe I'm just being naive.

I assume the 84p was to Reo-Coker's agent?

Where does that place us on the list in this league?

Huh? What!? No 'Clegg out' comment yet? Ha!

Football is a business, agents are a necessity.

@Fatboy

I'd actually want an 84p refund if we paid that much for Reo-Coker mate!

No shock. We get through more players than a chain smoker.

"Why don't these parasites take their money from their clients, rather than the football clubs"

It would still come from us, whichever way you split it

More worrying is how much of this kind of money, after going through a few other hands, ends up in an offshore account owned by a dog. A dog whose manager was part of the negotiations for the signing of the players.

ps guess who has just joined a small Premeir League club who had one of the highest amounts of fees paid to agents in the country ?

Think we deserve a refund after some of the performences we've seen in the last year or so!
