Charlton Game Set to Go Ahead
Tuesday, 18th Dec 2012 14:06

Town’s Boxing Day game at Charlton Athletic is expected to take place as scheduled despite the proposed 24-hour Tube strike. Arsenal could postpone their match against West Ham due the industrial action with some other London-based games also thought to be in doubt.

However, a spokesperson for the Addicks says the game at the Valley, a 1pm kick-off, isn't in danger: "We are monitoring the situation but can't see there being any problems."

In addition to the Tube strike, there is no Southeastern train service stopping at Charlton station on the day of the game.

Typical of the man of the people Bob Crow in calling a strike on a bank holiday. I know that a strike will be disruptive but I hope TfL do not give in to their greedy demands.

and they also want a couple days off in-lieu. Call their bluff, say no and hold up pictures of future driverless trains as you walk past them on strike duty.

Nice to see the traditional working class football supporter backing his comrades in the posts thus far.

The only strikers I care about are ours, driving the ball into the mouth of the goal.

Gfaaaaah. Ewwwww.

This is an ASLEF organised strike, nothing to do with comrade Crow.

BTW, TfL's turnover is £9bn
