Chambers: Town Must Fight the Fear Friday, 15th Feb 2013 10:14 Defender Luke Chambers is not blind to the fact that Town are currently embroiled in a relegation dogfight. Chambers, in his first season after joining on a free transfer last summer, said: “Obviously, it is always in the back of your mind, but we can’t let the fear of relegation overtake anything we are doing in our preparations. “We have to approach every game the way we have approached every game from the start of the season and try now to turn the performances that we feel have been good into positive results.” Town were made to suffer for last week’s narrow 1-0 defeat at Blackburn as the bottom three clubs all won and other clubs around them pocketed at least one point. But Chambers added: “You’d like to think that the teams around us can’t keep performing like that for the rest of the season — but we can’t rely on anyone else. All we can rely on is what we have in the club now. “We’ve got to look at last week’s results, accept that the teams around us are in good form and start producing results as quickly as we can. Otherwise it’s not going to be a very good finish to the season for us. “Personally, I’m only concentrating on our position. I don’t really care who is in and around us. All we can do is try to replicate what we do all week in training and turn it into good performances and results out on the pitch.”
