said on Saturday this lad grows with confidence each and every game. Looks solid at the back and always a goal threat. would just like to see his distribution picking up a little. Credit to the management team, it wasnt that long ago this lad was being sent back from Colchester for having such a nightmare, clearly a confidence player and for me player of the year.....

tommy smith is DEFINATELY my choice for player of the year - a season with few positives about it; but tommy has really come through and shown massive consistency as work rate!

I know this sounds 'career negative' but I wonder if he was a bit premature giving his international future to New Zealand at such an early age. Perhaps that's made him what he is becoming now, who knows

I'd second Tommy for player of the season. His development has been a real plus. Good sides are usually built from the back and we are looking so much more solid of late.

If he continues to play well then the prem league vultures will be circling over PR..... Bid of £4-5 million might be hard to resist

I get the feeling we may be in for a pleasant surprise tonight- the team seems lifted after the last game

With regard to what Popeye has commented, I think that vultures are normally interested in the dying, but I think I know what he means and I agree that it is a real fear that Smith and Cresswell will start to attract interest from Premiership clubs; without them the defence could start to deteriorate quite quickly.

How many times has he made the team this season? Anyone know?
