Winter Nets Winner
Thursday, 11th Apr 2013 21:56

Academy second-year scholar Tom Winter scored the winner as his loan club Leiston beat Thurrock 2-1 at Victory Road despite having been reduced to 10 men this evening.

The goal, which came just before the hour, was striker Winter’s fourth for Leiston, all of them coming in their last three games, which have all been played since Saturday.

The 18-year-old is one of the five scholars to have been offered professional terms by the Blues.

I know it is only leiston but he is a real future prospect and sounds pretty good really hope he can get into the first team over the next few years.

MM told Carson to 'rip it up' at York, during his loan.

I think that scoring four goals in three matches in five days counts as precisely that.
