Carson in Action for Robins
Monday, 29th Jul 2013 20:23

Blues midfielder Josh Carson was in Bristol City’s starting line-up for their U21 friendly at Weston-Super-Mare this evening. Earlier this afternoon, TWTD revealed that the Robins are the club with whom the 20-year-old Northern Ireland international is on trial.

Also in the Bristol City line-up this evening was ex-Blues loanee Marlon Harewood, who is also on trial at Ashton Gate. The 33-year-old scored twice as the Robins won 3-1.

Hopefully it's not the end for Josh. When he first burst on the scene i thought he was going to be the next player we sell for big bucks. Maybe, he thought that too and it's gone to his head a little bit. If he can get his head on playing football and working hard on his game then he could still have potential. Anyone know if this is with a view to a permanent switch or a loan deal?

Shame bout carson because when he first burst onto the scene he had theworld at his feet. He has the ability but it may be more down to his attitude more than anything else, which is a shame. Hopefully not the end for josh, however if he does move on will it involve a fee???? Bearing in mind he still has a year left on his contract

Is this a trial with a view to loan or buy?

If this is a loan, I think it will be productive for all. If it's a move, I think Josh will do well in this league and is capable of moving up the leagues with time and continued hard work. Either way, all the best Josh.

best of luck to him - i'm not sure he adds a great deal to the squad we've already got here but, with that said, i think he's a very useful player - maybe a fresh start will do his career some good.
