Last Day of Window Passes Quietly
Monday, 2nd Sep 2013 21:35

The final day of the transfer window has passed quietly at Portman Road with Josh Carson’s exit by mutual consent the only move in or out.

Despite a report this evening linking the Blues with Barnet striker Keanu Marsh-Brown, Town spokesman Steve Pearce told TWTD that no moves are set to take place before the 11pm deadline: “There’s nothing happening.”

Good news in my view. Only way anything was going to happen was if Cresswell moved on, which would've been a backward step anyway.

News just in...we've just signed Noel Body (No body) - Noel bloody surprise there.
As mentioned if anything big was going to happen today it would have surrounded Cresswell - looks like the loans might be coming in again.

This is the worst deadline day since we signed Leadbitter and Edwards.

Shows just what a lack of ambition and commitment evans has now to our once great club. Mick is one of the best managers we have had in a long time and evans has not backed him one bit. Dunno why mick has put up with it to be honest. Has had his hands well and truly tied.everyone can see we need more creativity and a striker but we have spent a paltry 20k this summer!!! Sorry to be negative but if ya pay peanuts you get monkeysand this FFP is a joke but is the excuse evans needed to not spend any money

I don't mind getting one maybe two loan players in as it is the best way to get a descent premier league player without spending millions and millions as long as we don't get loads of loan players in again.

No goal scorer then.

As my forum post works out, taking players' recent records and extrapolating them over the season we would score just 47 goals.

I see Nick Powells gone to Wigan. He would have been perfect for us. Lets hope we try to get Billy Sharp on loan in a few weeks when the loan window opens

That is an interesting assessment. It doesn't read well does it?

Norwich are in for Vaz Te. I hate to admit it but I am green with envy.

Creswell stays is as good as any signing. Loan window will give us the chance of a striker and we must go all guns blazing for Billy Sharp. If not him our only other option of a striker with history is Ebanks-Blake. Other than that I think we will have to get on with what we've got. Still happy with that to be honest.

Keanu Marsh-Brown is a possibility. Sky reporting we enquired anyway, then saw him talk to Frank Nouble on Twitter.

Think Mick will wait for a couple of loan deals next week. Billy Sharp seems to be the fans choice by a large number.
