No New Injuries Ahead of Yeovil
Monday, 16th Sep 2013 14:50

Mick McCarthy says he has virtually a fully fit squad for Tuesday’s home game against Championship new boys Yeovil Town.

McCarthy said: “Everybody should be OK, a few tired limbs but that’s normal, it’s Saturday-Tuesday. We’re cool, that’s fine.”

No senior players were involved in this afternoon’s U21 game at QPR, aside from Alan Lee, while Tyrone Mings is back in training after suffering a knee injury in the opening game of the season at Reading.

If that includes Taylor then it will speak volumes if he doesn't get some time on the pitch

We've dominated the last two games taking 4 points, clearly MM is not seeing something he wants from Taylor in training or he would play him. He want's to win games not dole out 1st team places as charity. I'm sure when Taylor is fit and training better than those currently ahead of him he'll be picked.

I'm not sure whether Taylor is MM's sort of player, I could be wrong; but if I had a striker that has clearly got to be fit by now; I would play him. Time will tell. If Murphy and Mcgoldrick play like they did on Saturday, we don't need any more strikers that what we have now. Although saying that, I'm not overly impressed with Nouble.

I'm surprised Taylor has not been involved more often as well. It must be something to do with his fitness still or his attitude in training. Don't think it's a matter of MM not liking the type of player he is because he said before that he and TC were aware of him and had considered bidding for him when they were at WW

I think tomorrow would be a great game to give Taylor half an hour at least. We should be the team dictating play tomorrow so i'm sure he could get on the ball and be creative against Yeovil.

Just because Taylor isn't getting much game time at the minute doesn't necessarily mean he's causing trouble around the dressing room, or that Mick McCarthy has some sort of personal grudge against him. The gossip, sh**-stirring and speculation about things from some users of this site really does p*** me off. The man's recovering from a serious, long-term injury and is being slowly reintroduced to first team football. Also, McGoldrick and Murphy are performing well at the moment. At the end of the day, when you have a competitive first team squad GOOD PLAYERS WILL BE LEFT OUT!

While reports are confusing re Taylors fitness the poor lad must be frustrated at the length of time he's been out of action from what I have seen in him in a town shirt be it brief(seen him more in Peterborough vids) he has that low level ability to swivel bigger opposition players reminds me of a certain Eric Gates(big shoes to fill I know) I reckon he could play where Eric did just behind the strikers to great effect, but our system at present does not cater for this got to be worth(if in a comfortable position) changing things for the last 15-20 mins and give it a go, it worked for Sir Bobby!!!!????

Mick McCarthy is one of the best man managers that ITFC have had in quite a while. I can see him unleashing Taylor soon and us seeing a decent cameo. The issue is that McGoldrick is such a good player and so influential to the team that he will play the full 90 unless we get two goals to the good and he can have a breather. Taylor/McGoldrick and Nouble/Murphy are the sets of strikers we have.

MM will only play 442. He's not BR! He's no brains! Taylor too tricky for MM. Not basic enough. He wouldn't have signed him that's for sure!

Please drop Hyam and replace with Tabb. Please put Smith and Chambers back together and bring in Elliot Hewitt.

Why do we constantly call for the players we are supposed to be supporting to be dropped ????? Alright there are some players I like more than others but I don't plead at every opportunity for them to be dropped. Can't believe some people think this sort of thing is included in supporting a team. perhaps those concerned didn't notice but we won 3 - 1 on saturday. How many have we got to win by to silence the wingers ??

better for Taylor to take it steady, who needs a reacurence of a nasty injury through impatience. this is a game you could give Lee some time to see if there is something that we haven't already got.

If anybodies place is in jeopardy it's Frank Nouble's! - some really quiet games from him, almost sure Murphy will come in for him.

MM was looking to sign Taylor when he was at Wolves so is say he does rate him. Given the shift McGoldrick put in Saturday, it'd be nice to see Taylor get a run out for him if he starts to tire.

Chrismakin - why on earth would you drop Berra after the last two games he's played? He's been quality! Hewitt was the weak link in the back four and that's been fixed now.

@Keanish because we have lost a right wing back

Not playing Mick's usual 4-4-2 we haven't!

But we never had one when Stearman was there last season and Chambers scored from 3yards out Saturday after getting to the far post from open play. Think id rather leave it how it is than have inexperience in there against a side we must be beating.

Same team as Sat, apart from Murphy to start. Like to see Taylor come off the bench.

MM is a stepping stone. He's kept us up. Will have to wait for the next apt to reach glory I'm afraid. Cheers Mick
