Ramadan Set for Irish U17 Cap
Thursday, 24th Oct 2013 10:43

Academy striker Cemal Ramadan will be in action with the Republic of Ireland U17s this afternoon in the opening match of their UEFA U17 Championships qualifying group against Gilbraltar in Armenia.

The first-year scholar and his team-mates also take on the hosts on Saturday and then England on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, academy second-year keeper Michael Crowe was withdrawn from the Wales U19 squad which has spent this week training in Spain, presumably due to Dean Gerken suffering a dead leg in Saturday’s home game against Burnley.

However, Crowe was risked in goal for the Town U21s in their 1-1 draw with Bristol City on Monday, suggesting that Gerken's injury is unlikely to keep him out of the squad travelling to Bolton.
