Victories For Hewitt and Veseli
Saturday, 1st Feb 2014 21:08

On-loan full-backs Elliott Hewitt and Freddie Veseli were both on the winning side on Saturday afternoon.

Hewitt was watched by Town scout Ian ‘Taff’ Evans as his loan side Gillingham beat Port Vale 3-2 at the Priestfield Stadium in League One. Veseli’s Bury defeated Wycombe Wanderers 1-0 in League Two.

Yesterday, Hewitt, 19, extended his spell with the Gills until the end of the season, while Veseli, 21, will now remain with the Shakers until February 22nd.

Striker Jack Marriott’s first game back at Skrill Premier Woking against Forest Green Rovers at the Kingfield Stadium was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Hewitt seems to be showing up really well. Great experience for him to come back and get a 1st team place next season. Is he playing midfield or full back for them?

I'm just happy we have players that lower league clubs want to take on loan, Veseli, Hewitt and Marriott are ITFC's future :)

Veseli must be wondering what went wrong with his career.City to united, which is a rare thing, and then simply released. I like the sound of him if I'm honest, not sure if he's a MM type player but hopefully this experience will do him and Hewittgood. COYB
