Fan Publishes Book on His Years Following The Blues
Fan Publishes Book on His Years Following The Blues

Town fan Graeme Brooke has published a book about his years following the Blues, Adventures of a Tractor Boy.

“It is the tales of me following Ipswich Town and the obsession of doing so and all of the insane and utterly mad stories associated with it,” Graeme explained.

“It is loosely based on Nick Hornby's Fever Pitch. You do not have to be a football supporter to enjoy it, the stories are all humorous and relate to anyone with an obsession. If you have an obsession and like football then perfect.

“There are a number of references to characters who I have met over the years following Ipswich home and abroad, so you may even get a mention, you never know!

“One hundred per cent of the profits from the book will be donated to Colchester Special Care Baby Unit at Colchester Hospital who nursed my youngest daughter Leah when she was born eight weeks premature and who is now thankfully a healthy eight-year-old season ticket holder and Junior Blue, so it is all in a good cause.

To read more about the book on the Adventures of a Tractor Boy website and Facebook, while you can buy a copy from Amazon — where it is currently in the top 40 football books — here. Alternatively, it is available from Greetings & Gifts, 15c High St, Manningtree CO11 1AG (01206 615262).

The contact email for any queries, and also to send pictures of the book from around world for the website is adventuresofatractorboy@gmail.com.

Many thanks for the support
As part of the publicity for the book a web page dedicated to it will be open in next couple of weeks. One of the things we are doing is asking folk to take a photo of the book in an unusual place around the world or with a well known person holding it. An email address to submit photos will be added to web site once open in next couple of weeks- Many thanks and please spread the word - it is for a great cause and I can see the £ adding up

That'll be great Micky - Thanks for the good wishes. Of course I did not.... a real eye opener for my wife!! Perhaps it should have been Confessions Of A Tractor Boy! Photos will be great - there will be a dedicated email address on the website once up & running. Where are you based now?

Graeme

Sold up my business and retired to North Cyprus (the Turkish Part) in 2008

Get back for start of season, some London games and any big games.
The play offs would have cost me a fortune, so in a funny way I was quite relieved we did not qualify as I don`t think we are quite there yet.
But it`s great to have our Team back with players that care and a manager who knows what he is doing.

Next season with Super Mick in charge and a couple of decent signings we are straight up!

Have ordered the book and I hope plenty of other Town fans do the same, only £6.99 on Amazon worth every penny which goes to a super cause.

I have just ordered one and am looking forward to very much reading it. Thanks in advance for the memories I know it will hold for me. Shame my mate died 5 years ago, I know he would have enjoyed it as we both went on away day trips often in the 70's and 80's
