Town's Hungarian Invasion
Wednesday, 20th Aug 2014 18:02

Fans using the club’s official social media channels can't fail to have noticed Hungarians posting the legend ‘No Bajner, No Party’ with great regularity since the Blues' Hungarian frontman Balint Bajner made his debut earlier this month.

Answering a query on Town’s YouTube channel, Hungarian poster Erika B revealed the source: “A Hungarian Facebook page, the Trollfoci, which makes parodies and other funny things. But it's not only a page, it's a feeling.

“The no Bajner, no party is a kind of prank, because Bajner said no to the Hungarian football and he said that he didn’t care.

“After that when Bajner [was subbed in] the 44th minute [of the Fulham game] he said the reason [was] that the coach wanted [him to receive] applause from the spectators. The real reason was that he was ******* tired!”

Town’s digital media editor Jonny Ogle told TWTD that the club has seen an increase in traffic as a result of the invasion: “It's good to see so many people interacting with our social media channels, it's spreading the word for us.

“It's mainly restricted to Facebook but Twitter and YouTube are seeing huge spikes in conversion rates. As long as people enjoy the digital content, then that's positive for me.”

Having been their neighbor all my life, they do have some weird sense of humor Hungarians, I can tell you that.

Pretty much the lamest lost in translation joke I've ever heard if it can even be called a joke. The explanation for it makes as little sense as the joke itself. All round pile of stupid c**p.

So, they don't like (or approve of) Bajner as he turned his back on Hungarian football?

Tired after 44 minutes? Well they weren't fooled by the excuses
