Nouble Set for Coventry Debut
Friday, 5th Sep 2014 09:30

On-loan striker Frank Nouble could make his Coventry debut this evening as the Sky Blues take on Gillingham in their first game at the Ricoh Arena since April 2013 (Sky Sports HD2/2, 7.30pm).

The 22-year-old joined the League One side on a half-season loan minutes before the transfer window closed on Monday. Manager Steven Pressley has confirmed that Nouble will be in the 18 for this evening’s match.

Meanwhile, the former England U19 international was fined £575 and had six points put on his licence at Southend Magistrates Court yesterday. The frontman, who appeared in court in person, was also ordered to pay £90 towards prosecution costs and £58 to the victims’ fund.

Nouble pleaded guilty to failing to provide information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle after an Audi registered to him was alleged to have been involved in an offence in Chigwell in Essex in November last year.

Elsewhere, Jack Marriott will be looking to score his first goal for managerless Carlisle United when they take on AFC Wimbledon at Brunton Park on Saturday.

The striker, who is 20 next week, is yet to find the net in three starts and one sub appearance for the Cumbrians, who parted company with manager Graham Kavanagh following last week’s 5-0 defeat at Cambridge United. Marriott will be with the League Two side until September 20th.

Freddie Veseli is likely to make his seventh appearance for his loan club Port Vale at Peterborough on Saturday. The 21-year-old is with Vale until January.

rumour has it, Coventry are back at the ricoh to stop the ball bouncing off Nouble's knee over the small stands at sixfields when the plank tries to bring the ball under control !!

Yeah Wish him all the best.
Maybe a run of games & a few goals could see him turn his fortunes around.
Remember Dids was loaned out to Coventry from Forrest and it turned his career around!

Best of luck Frank!

Best of luck but it might come as a bit of a shock to find you are actually allowed to pass the ball on that green stuff. Its called the pitch.

Good Luck Frank - maybe you will now get the coaching that would make you a better player at this level.

Potential is there for more - make no mistake.

.... they all do well when they are allowed, and encouraged, to play the game as it should be played .....

Well done Frank - seek out the right coaching and you'll do ok.

At 22 years old - raw potential - listen,learn, and give it your best shot;

Sign Jim O'Brien. Box to box, plays on the half turn, good work rate...exactly what we need.
Neat and tidy on the ball and still 26.

Excellent performance so far. If this had have been Taylor there would have been 100 posts by now! However, great service for his well taken goal. That's the problem, our midfielders create very little. Given the chance big frank can finish. But sadly, he spent most of his time creating his own chances for us!

Had to laugh when I saw who scored goal but no one bit surprised. Hopefully he'll hit a hat trick and mm be wondering just maybe it's not the players that's the problem at Portman road. Go on frank

When I watch football, I can't help noticing how every other team plays with the ball on the ground apart from us.. Ps well done frank, maybe he can flourish in league 1.

Exactly tomtfc, proves you don't have to spend money to play attractive football. Coventry played some good football tonight..............on the ground! Much more entertaining than hoof ball.
