Town have refuted tabloid suggestions that Nottingham Forest have defaulted on payments for £3 million striker David Johnson. Reports this morning claimed that a move to Coventry had fallen through due to problems with payments owed to Town.

Ironically Johnson was at Town today, scoring the winner as Forest's reserves beat Town's 1-0 in a game where Will Snowdon was needlessly sent off by an overly picky and tedious referee.

George Burley said that all financial arrangements regarding the Johnson transfer are in order.

Johnson may have a greater chance in the Forest first team in the future with Paul Hart's side agreeing a deal to take Trinidad and Tobago international and top scorer Stern John to Birmingham City.
